Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a drug and surgery free alternative form of healthcare. Chiropractors focus on the function and health of the spinal column as the spine and nervous system are intimately related and are equally important in the health, wellbeing and function of a person and their life.

Chiropractors focus on the detection and correction of subluxations (aberrant spinal function), which may lead to interference to the nervous system, and subsequently its effect on how the nervous systems controls and coordinates the body, in response to its environment.

Our musculoskeletal system (your body) is made up of hundreds of muscles and bones. Your nervous system, made up of your brain and kilometers of nerves that travels through the body, controlling muscles, organs and cells which allows your body to breathe, move, think, see and exist.

When your spine is compromised i.e. restricted in movement, it affects the delicate relationship between your brain and your body, it’s what Chiropractors refer to as subluxation. These subluxations restrict the ability for the nervous system to communicate with your body. The spine, skull and pelvis all allow for movement of the body and function of the nervous system, and is a vital nutrient for healthy living.

The principles of Chiropractic care is that your body should be able to heal itself and your organs self-regulate. Your nervous system sends trillions of messages every second between your brain and body so your body is reliant on it functioning effectively. If these messages are interrupted your brain won’t make adequate decisions and may impact your heath in a number of ways such as migraines, back pain…..

Restoring the flow of your nervous system, through Chiropractic care may help build and maintain optimal health.

At Evolving Chiropractic, our Chiropractors use a variety of gentle, low force adjusting techniques that are adapted to suit each individual person.
